ATF - How long b4 it stops smoking
I just did the ATF method and the car started right up. Let the car run for about 20 minutes and still smoking hard..just wanted to know as to how long will it smoke for..Also when i turn the ignition on the boost gauge moves up a little but when i start the car the gauge just drops back down...Thanks

Depends on how much you use, and if you tried to empty it first.. I used a LOT the first time, and didn't empty it.. It was still smoking after 20 minutes of hard driving... (a LOT = one 16 oz bottle of MMO)
Second time, I used the same amount, but I pulled the plugs and cranked the engine a bit right before starting it.. That spit a lot of the ATF out.. It only smoked for ~10 minutes, idling
Drive it around kinda hard.. It'll stop eventually.

Aww I am wondering if I should do this or not. I am really not all that sure how much this damn engine has gone through and I still want to drive it a little before I have to rebuild. I hear this is good for the apex seals but not the O-rings. In fact it could actually eat away the existing O-ring. I understand what it does but what our the chances of it working ok on a 89 GTU N/A which looks a little neglected?

In my opinion, it can only help. The H2O cleaning is supposed to work good as well. Go to www.mazspeed.com then go to "Facts," and then to "ATF Facts," and read the info.
