Arguement for n/a-->T2 & my progress
Everyone seems to think that swapping a t2 engine into an n/a is too costly/not enough performance gain for the money/ etc. But the way I am looking at it is this, all of the parts I have bought for the swap with the exception of the engine, would be performance parts on any t2, the only part I bought that would not yield performance increase on any t2 is the block. You could look at it like this, it is the same thing as if a t2 owner blew his motor and wanted to replace it and he added some extra goodies while he was at it. Any one of you could look at my car and have no idea that it started life as an n/a, so I claim to be a t2 owner who has replaced his blown motor
An n/a to t2 swap is worth the trouble if you can shell out the extra bucks for a standalone, if you do it right and don't cut cost corners. It is as simple as swapping motors.
As for my progress, I am almost done

He has the pics linked to his computer, so when he leaves the forum his pics go with him.
Are you planning on cleaning up some of that wiring? I am just real picky about loose wiring.

Im for a TII swap for most every NA owner that blows their engine. Either I got lucky, or I really did get the fastest and cheapest car in town. My NA cost me 2grand and the TII engine and performance parts cost me another 2. I can beat a modded vette I also dont have a standalone either, I just used a TII computer and wiring harness. Its a very easy swap and for only 1000 for a TII engine it gives you more performance for the dollar than you can get with anything for an NA....even nitrous.

Birds nest Yes haltech has 3 wires, fuel pump and efan have a couple more, and then msd.
Like I said it isn't done, and I know it isn't the cleanest but I don't get out to very many car shows
I am 16, and I had a friend or two help me out of course, and I sure hope it is fast as hell. Waiting for the Front mount and avc-r

While the aftermarket EMS isn't cheap, it is much easier to deal with than the old, crusty, slow, stock EMS, and the car will run much better. Also, it gives you more flexibility, and you can use it on other cars. BTW, I'm not into the show car scene, either, but I recommend cleaning up that wiring mess for practical purposes. You may also want one of your electrical guru friends (stereo guys are great for this) to check your connections before you put power to the system.
