ARGH! Sticky Pedal? TPS Screw?!

Ok, here's the deal. I've been having the same problems for a while, as I'm sure you've all read, but I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on.

I have been having fuel problems, bucking, stuttering, etc.

Now when I was adjusting the TPS I noticed that my screw doesn't adjust very smoothly, it really sticks at one spot and doesn't let me turn it unless i try a little harder then it just snaps too far. Is this indicitive of a bad TPS? Can you clean a TPS?

Next thing, is that the gas pedal sticks sometimes, not like on teh ground liek it revs by itself or anything, but it'll go a little ways and then I have to push HARD on it to make it go all teh way down. but after that initial hard push it breaks free pretty well and after driving for a bit it actually is alright.

Still have the bucking problem and the loss of fuel/power/bucking at very light throttle problem.

I think these problems are all related somehow.

Anyone have any ideas how my TPS and my gas pedal both sticking could be related?

Or any ideas on what i should try to fix?

I'd get some spray lube (EG: WD40) into the throttle cable before it sticks.
The TPS screw should not affect throttle motion, since it only pushes in the TPS resistor plunger (unless the plunger itself is really gummed up)

Ditto what SureShot said.
Lube the f-ck out of your throttle assembly.
The cable, the coils, any moving part actually. WD-40, or some bearing grease will loosen up the secondary side of the throttle body, which is why you are having troubles with it sticking about 1/4 of the way down.

Lubing the throttle cable is fine, but the rest of the assembly (throttle body, etc.) is designed to operate dry. Spraying crap on it will just attract dirt and make the problem worse. Sticky throttle problems are almost always a cable issue.

I've just had this same problem...

It wasn't the cable, however, as I tested under the hood. When I'd move the throttle assembly, it would get "stuck" about 1/4 of the way in.

So I took my white lithium grease, sprayed the hell out of everything, and it's much better.

I noticed it start to come back a little today, though...so I may spray some more. But this was definely not the cable, as I took the cable out of the equation when testing (although I did also lube the cable)
