ARC IC dimension compared to stock
I just got my ARC IC from Jesse in Japan. I don't like front mount and all the necessary piping, so I went with a larger stock. Couldn't beat his prices so I got an ARC stock mount IC.
Here's the relevent data compared to stock
looking from front of car
ARC IC- width (shock tower to shock tower) - 9.5 inches
length - front of car to back)- 10.25 inches
thickness - core - 2.75 inches
surface area - WxL = 97.375
total volume - 267.78
Stock - width - 11.375
length - 6.25
core - hard to measure 2.75 or 3 inches
surface area - 71.1125
total volume - 213.3375 with a 3 inch core
195.56 with a 2.75 inch core
Should be a nice improvement over stock even with it being stock mount. It also has a better design in that the outlet drop straight down instead of the stock having to S back toward the throttle. Less pressure drop through the system, means the turbo won't have to work a hard, means cooler charge air leaving the turbo, further cooled by the better IC. I'd do a dyno run, but the friend I bought the car from didn't have a boost gauge when he ran so I don't know what he had it set at then. With no idea the boost pressure, he had these mods : (89 TII) cone K&N intake, underdrive pulley, DP, MP, catback, REDOM jap spec tuned ecu....made 231 rwhp and 256 ft/lbs (spiked) highest flat part of the torque curve was 227 roughly.

Yep, fits like stock. Price depends on Jesse's price he can get it at, which depends on condition, etc. Took him about a month to source one for me, which I really appreciated him staying on top of it fo me.

I'll get some silicon hose and hope to have it installed soon. Then its dyno time.
