apexi n1 dual question

been searching but not finding much info on it. planning on buying me a turbo'd 2nd gen RX and the 1st thing i wanna do is exhaust. i don't want a single cause i think it looks retarded at the bumper (have an indention with no exhaust tip....looks like half of the exhaust fell off or something). so want a dual and i like the way the apexi n1 duals look. but i wanna make sure it doesn't sound like crap or anything. does anyone have a sound clip or video? NO N/A's please!!! just turbo's. i guess opinions will do if no video's or sound clips although....it's not really the same without hearing it. anyway, thanks for any input!

Hmm... Yes, you go right ahead and slap an exhaust on a TII - I mean, why would you do anything sensible like maybe changing the plugs or oil or fuel filter, right? Especially since that wouldn't have the "look" you're after.

After you blow up your engine, I'll buy the chassis for $50.

holy sh@t man, go easy on him.

I have only ever heard the N1 single, but it sounds amazing. It is by far one of the best flowing exhausts on the market. The dual actually does not flow as well, but I agree that dual looks better than single.

Like No7Yet said, first do the simple things for reliability reasons.

Well, for starters, how about you ask which exhaust will give the best performance gain, or which is the best for the price, or any other sort of functional recommendations, instead of being solely concerned with "sounds like crap" or "looks retarded".

Ricer.

i've been doing my research on reliability mods. i know about that. but i was asking about the exhaust. not dumbass comments that serve no useful information and to try and act like i'm an idiot!!! thanks for your input though ponykiller. would be nice if i could hear the exhaust though. anyway, would appreciate some more useful input.

cause that's not what i asked!!! why don't you let me be concerned with that, cause obviously you don't seem you're gonna help with my cause. just a waste of space.

Come on now No7Yet, what did he do wrong? He asked to hear a sound clip of the N1 dual? So he gets flamed?

Have you tried to search? I found that "rx7-rage" on the forum has dual N1s on his TII so PM him for the video.

Man, you are a dick. The exhaust on an fc isn't like any normal car, it adds alot of style to it. I really like a dual setup/ true dual sound, but I'm going for performance, running a RB header back to the N1 single exhaust, in my research this has shown to make the most power (in N/A applications anyway). Very not legal and probably not streetable because of the sound, but it does work.

Sometimes streetability is more important, and you should keep that in mind before you open your mouth and make an *** of yourself.

I wouldn't have brought out the flames as soon and as harsh but I know where no7yet is coming from. That and well if you search there are about 2309548230948 threads on exhuasts.

what i can't figure out is why i'm getting bashed on just because i want a sound clip. maybe i've already searched the topic of exhaust and about performance, etc. maybe i'm not that concerned about the performance factor so much for this car. didn't think i'd really have to f**King explain myself but damn, i may as well if i'm ever gonna get people off my back. the car i want is a 3rd gen. that's the car i want for performance and the car i'm gonne do all the major work to. i'm getting a 2nd gen. just so that i can have a daily driver while i do all the "performance" work to the 3rd gen. gonna do very few mods to the 2nd gen. but want it to at least look "nice". didn't know it was a crime though to ask for a freakin sound clip. don't know why it's so hard to get a simple answer without all the crap. if i'm just gonna get bashed on, well screw it then. i'll just call the vendors or something since i don't guess i'll get much help here. jeese!!!

woa woa dude calm down not all of us want to bash you for example me i want to give you some usefull input

First of all from what your saying it sounds like the dual system is best for you. Ive heard the N1 duals they sound beautiful, a bit quite for me though. I have 2 FC's with N1 singles i can tell you first of all that if your looking to be loud your not going to achieve it with the N1 duals on a TII. I have a TII and an N/A and the single is MUCH louder on the N/A. On the TII its also pretty loud but not as nice a sound as the N/A. Having a dual simply silences the exaust more and adds wieght, so in my opinion the only reason for having the N1 Duals is for looks.
Good luck!!

well i didn't say everyone was trying to bash me. but one person bashes me and then others say,"i understand where he's coming from." just pisses me off when there's no useful info put out.

but anyway, thanks for the input and hopefully the flaming can stop now and get back to the point of the thread.....the exhaust itself! yes, looks are of more importance to me, but not totally. there has to be some function. some people may say it's not gonna give me the best performance out there, but heck, it's still better than stock ain't it? i don't really care if it's loud or quiet. just don't want the sound that comes out to sound like crap though, ya know? i hate the sound of a honda (civic or something) with a crappy sounding exhaust.

The N1 duals will defelty add power they are very funcional due to their much larger diameter piping, its just that the singles are better for flow which means you can spool up that turbo faster, ya it doesent look as good as the dual but hey its a prefrence thing.
Just go with the dual if you want looks my man. As far as where to get em im sure Jason at the rx7store.net can hook you up with a good price on em

Man, who brought out all the ********. Can't ask the simplest questions around here without someone assuming you don't know jack **** about your car and talking ****.

Anyways, the N1 duels sound great on just about any application. Loud, but great. I do have them on my "N/A". I know its not on a turbo, but I figured I would tell you what I did know rather than call you a ricer for wanting to have your car look good.
