Apexi AVC-R? Help set-up

Ok I lost power in my car and my boost controller lost all it's settings. It was in the car when I bought it and now I have to set it back up. There is a setting for a rotary or piston engine. Also it talkes about the duty cycle and I have no idea what that is or how to set it.
I have the old apexi AVC-R not the pretty blue one.
So if anyone has experience with this B.C. please let me know.

Thanks,
Josh

If you don't have it, Apexi has the whole manual to the old AVC-R on their website - http://www.apexi-usa.com

Most times for RPM type setup you can just use 4-cylinder - the RPM trigger is the same.

I don't think there's that much you set up on the old unit - the new unit has crazy options . But you'll have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers....

Yeah I plan on getting the new one this winter!
Well the one setting that I am not sure off is the duty cycle setting. I dont even know what it is and I dont want to ruin anything.

Thanks

remove it and buy a ball and spring manual one for like $25... you don't seem to understand anything on your car so start by making everything simpler. the manual will work just as good.

Ok well the thing is. I am trying to learn.
If I am not mistaken that is what this forum is for. So far I have learned alot about how the turbo system works. But I know I have a long way to go, but you have to start somewhere right?

Listen man I really appreciate your advice and I am sorry that I dont know that much about my car.
The thing that sucks is that the mods that are on the car where on it when I bought it. So to fix anything the manual doesnt do me much good. I have been reading the manual at work for the past week!
If I can get this boost problem figured out I will be totally happy.
I would be more than willing to pay someone who does know what is going on but there isnt anyone that is within 3 hrs of my house that knows anymore than me about my car. So I am **** out of luck as far as that goes.

Well another thing I do understand how to use the boost controller and I know what most of it does but the thing that I dont know is what the duty cycle is? If someone could tell me I would be content.
Thanks,
Josh

The duty cycle is how much work the solenoid under the hood is running. 0% is gonna be no boost increase, and 100% is blow-your-motor boost increase.

Start with around 20%, see how much boost you're running, then increase from there.

Josh,

Just PM me w/ your email address and your questions. I can help you get back to the right settings, but the boost adjustment will be up to you (ok, I cna recommend but won't be liable if oyu blow your engine). the most important settings will be in the setup menu. Jay
