Question apex seals size? 2mm 2pc?, 2mm1pc,3mm 1pc?? which is best??

Well, was talking to my rotary builder today, and he says that he might put in 2mm 2pieces apex seal in my street port for reliability!!!?? what the hell!!?? i was thinking 1 piece is better than 2!!. He have experience in rotary building for more that 15 years..so i'm confuse. and he says that 1 piece seals expand too much..opinion please...

I belive alot of people will agree that the Mazda OEM 3 piece 2mm apex seals are the best. What apex seal is the best is a long standing debate. You wont find "the" perfect answer, but the general consensus is that the Mazda 3 piece 2mm apex seals, not only seal the best but are able to hold up to the tortures of boost 99% just as well as any other seal.

with new housings, and rotors that are within spec then the Mazda 3 piece are my choice.

But if used housings and used rotors 2 piece apex seals are most commonly used.

1 piece are almost never ever used in street driven 13B engines

every thing is almost brand new, the rotor housing is new, the plates is on the table to have a ground zoro surface, will post pics of it soon, and all the seal is brand new, 3 & 5 windowed oil thingy, spacially groove everything for better oil flow. racing oil pressure reg.
custom made manifold (SS) w T55 garrett turbo.
yes, i think i'll go with 2 piece 2mm apex seals.
well pretty much everything that goes in the engine is carefully selected. carefully worked on. although it's into the 2nd month of building. but i'm getting more exciting everyday. i'll post pics soon...soon..
