apex seal check?

theoretically if you took off the exhaust manifold and rotated the engine over by hand, shouldnt you be able to see the apex seals as they pass the exhaust ports?

I plan on having the exhaust off to port the turbo waste gate soon and was thinking a quick look might be worth it. catch anything big thats about to happen

doesn't hurt to look but don't expect to see much concerning the important areas of the apex seals where wear is concerned. the rotor housing condition is about the only thing you can see of importance with the exhaust off.

You can poke them a bit and see if they are moving freely and see if the edges are looking ok.

In Canada we just look outside onto the ice Flow.
If Paul McCartney is there we know that the Seals are good..for now.
Until they leave, then they get clubbed and turned into mittens.
