i don't mean race transmissions....

has anyone retrofit maybe a t5 or t56 tranny onto a t2 before? i wouldn't mind a 6-speed, but i'd really like to lower the rpm's in 5th gear.......4k-4500 is kinda annoying after an hour.

just curious to see if anyone's done it, what they used, and what it took.

4500k in 5th? How fast are you cruising?

I cruise 3k @ ~75mph
