Anyone smog w/headers in CA?

I am just about to have my RB header installed. I have the Bonez H/F cat.

Question.

Has anyone in CA had their car smogged while the header was on? I had a smog done in the past and the tech new nothing of rotories. I did not even know how to tech or chk timing...I actually had to tell him what wire to use...

Well if you take to a place that knows what to look for you wont pass on the visual insp, maybe someone that doesn't might not look twice. good luck and let me know what happens

My car with high flow passed with clean digits. This was after I gutted it even furthur. My mechanic was in such a hurry to make ez money that he even bypassed the egr test, go figure.
BTW how will a RB header bolt up to the bonez cat which is the same length as a stock main cat which RB specially saids that their header will not bolt up to except their pre-silencer.

I've been thinking about the whole "visual inspection" thing. They look @ your exhaust to see if it's stock... but what if they can't see it? I remember finding this ( see picture ) and thought of the benifits of keeping the heat down, but now that I look, I think it would be good ( or a slightly different version of it ) to make visual inspections that much harder for the mechanics. Who knows? Maybe if they arn't familiar with a rotary, and the heat sheild had been on long enough ( with that weathered look ) they'll think it's all stock?

In regards to the H/F cat...I had it fab to fit.

I did keep the top of the stock shield to look kinda stealth. I also had it ceramic coated black for more steathyness.
