Question Anyone seen one of these? Injector start controller

Has anyone seen or use one of these modules? I was at a junk yard a few weeks ago and found this on a 87 or 88 NA. It looked like it was hooked into the injector resistors but some of the wires were disconnected.

If so, could you give me more info on what it does and how to hook it up?

I'm assuming it helps the common flooding problems.

Thanks,
Paul

Never seen or heard of it in my 12 years of rotoring...
SHJ Company? Can't find any reference to them either.

Anyone?

I'm debating whether or not I should just get rid of it or not.

I tried researching it also with no luck.

Probably an anti-flood device. Delays injector operation until the engine has started.

RX7Guy, I dont think I'm going to sell it just yet. I believe I can figure out how it works, but I'll keep ya in mind.

I remember a large (12-14 gauge) wire that was black with a yellow stripe that was cut along the passenger wheel well and one end connected to one wire on the module. The other end was run inside to the console. One wire on the module was grounded. All the other wires were run into the car to the console also. I was trying to trace the wires inside where they looked like they were originally connected to a switch but it was all disconnected.

I guess I could probe the module and test it with 12V and see if it is indeed a delay circuit for the injectors.

My original plans for defeating the flooding problem was to build another module that would cut off the 12V supply to the resistor pack while the engine was cranking, clutch was in, and the accelerator was pressed in (this signal was pulled from the TPS). I have already made one for my girlfriends car and it works like a dream. Its quite simple with just a few resistors, a relay, and a op amp to use as a comparer. I just thought that this would work also if I could find out how it works.
