Please post the likes/dislikes of your rim size and offset and the size tire you running.

Want to run 18s but think the 17s might be better. Any info will help.
BTW- this is info is for a 91 S5 TII if that changes anything.

Bigger the wheel: heavier the wheel, slower you will go.

17 inch would be the maximum if performance is your concern. Even at that a 16 would be better.

18 are fine...I had 17 and that was fine too..I still would not go back to anything smaller than a 18 since they just look that much better....dont worry about the weight...not like you race the car daily so the little weight added makes LESS difference then running on a empty tank VS full tank..I have not noticed a power loss since my 18 have been put on and my 1/4 mile stayed the same..swear some people talk about rims like they are anchors...

I am...See signature. 17". I find that it makes the car seem like it's sitting high, so it could use a 1" drop. I noticed a significant increase in grip and cornering, but it's likely a function of the Firestone Firehawk SZ50 tires and not the rim size. My 1/4 is slightly slower because of the bigger wheels...

17x8 Mustang rims 30 offset (I think)
-If you run a 245 or larger up front you will have to roll the fenders
-Those are OEM mustang tires on there so the aspect ratio is too high for the RX7
-People claim the rims way 17lbs each but I won't believe it until I way them myself.
-Tire and rim together ways 55lbs.

those don't look too bad, but if your ordering from them, call them or something and ask them to upgrade the tires in the package and pay the extra, 205/40's would not be good

I run 215/45/17s all around on my vert. They are heavy and as soon as I installed them, I noticed they did not want to turn in crisply. First time it happened, I thought I was going to continue straight :o) But I got used to it.

But because performance in the vert is not very important to me (I just like the open air and smoothness of the vert) I have stayed with them for the past 4 years.

That said, if I had it to do again, I would have spent a few hundred more dollars to get lighter weight wheels.

Oh, and the worst part is that they tend to follow EVERY groove in the road.

more of wheels, the go around corners like nothing, no squeeling of tires or anything, take 15mph corners at 56mph. that was scary, cuz of stock suspension though. lol. but she takes it. till i blew the motor the other day that it.haha

17's look the best, 18's are just too big and there isn't enough tire. btw, these are 5zigen fno1r-c's in 17x8 +25 front and 17x9 +35 rear with 225-45 front and 265-40 rear, if you want more pics go here
