I tried finding this box in the FSM but no luck. I have an N374 JDM ECU (not the Panspeed one in this pic but similar) and it has this black box bolted to it but nothing connected.

Anyone know what it's for?

 

I think it has to do with the starter. every time i plug mine in my car will immediatley try to start without the key in or anything.

 

It's been asked several times before and nobody knows. Lots of people made wild guesses and suggested lots of things that it obviously wasn't (like the starter). Someone is going to have to get hold of (and translate) the Japanese EFI wiring diagrams before this gets answered.
