Anyone have the RS-R catback?
I'm looking into catbacks as of late. Here are the requirements:
Single, passenger side exit
3" piping throughout
Best price possible
I have seen the RS-R exhaust at the rx7store, but it doesn't say what side it exits. Anyone know? I would just go with the corksport but its on the wrong side IMO. Also looking at the kakimoto since it is full SS piping, and a decent price at $600. Here is the only pic of the RS-R:
Any other options besides the N1?

I believe RS-R is pretty well known with other brands of cars and are supposed to be quality parts. I just wanted to know what side this one exits. I am thinking about having a custom catback made. I could maybe get one made for $300 including a brand name muffler.

I am looking for the same setup, except I am not willing to pay more than $300 for a single cat back. I mean for the price of some exhaust out there, I could almost get a stand alone EFI (well not really, but you get the point). So far I'll probably go with corksport, since I am sure there is no way I can have a custom SS system under $300; hell even a non SS custom catback will cost close to $200..
-$100 for a dynomax ultra flow
-$25 per mandrel bent tubes (assume only to bends) = $50
-Exhaust tubing (I really don't know but say $20)
-Flange = $10
-welds (one for the flange, four for the mandrel bents, one for the muffler at say $5 each weld) = $30
Total of $220, keep in mind this are not real numbers, and they are actually lower than what I have been quoted. Another factor here is the head aches of making sure it fits, welding the hangers (not inlcuded on the prices above), etc...
Corksport seems a better choice for me the more I think about it, now if they could do passenger side batch

i bought 2 mufflers with 2.5" inlet, i had a custom catback made, from the Y joint, it was a total of $216 for both pipes and the welding, pretty cheap IMO, I was happy with the price. Just sharing experience

Ryde or Die I had that passenger side exit setup on my T-II a couple of years ago. It consisted of the following 3" Ultra Flo all the way back from the downpipe, let me tell you that this setup is loud as f--- !!!
If you like getting attention from the cops go ahead, and do it. So what I did to resolve the noise issue was, I installed another ultraflo in the middle of the whole exhaust system. In other words its like a presilencer system found on the R.B. Exhaust to quite things down a bit. As far as power is concerned it feels good, and not to mention a real attention getter, especially when your shooting some nasty flames on the highway from the 5" inch SS tip I had installed. With the ultra flow installed in the middle it sounded "Bad ***", it sounds like a FD with exhaust. Also in MHOP you cant go wrong with RS-R system or another name brand system. Just make sure its a SS System to protect it from rust, and corrosion. "Ryde if you really wanna smack it up" do yourself a favor and get a HKS Super Dragger like the same ones for the 93-94 FD's its Bad *** Looking, not to metion good quality, if im not mistaken its SS. Just a thought.
