As the title says. I'm about ready to tint the 10ae and I'd like to see what the original bronze tint looked like on the cars.

I'm probably going to just go with a basic limo tint, but if the bronze looks right, I'll rock it.

hmm its probably gonna be hard to capture the bronze tint with a camera.. Are both your windows not the original one anymore???.. I believe the hatch is also bronze on the 10thAEs..

I'm positive they haven't been replaced. If it was just tint like normal, it could have been removed by the first owner. However, if it was actually a bronze tinted glass itself, then that's one option mine didn't come with. (Yes, I'm positive it's an original AE)

So it's the glass itself that has a tint and not just an add-on type tint?

Looks like limo tint it is then.

Thanks!

? you took a picture of the front window??? There's no tint on the front window as far as I know - only the sides and back. The easiest window see the tint is the rear hatch right near the top edge and sides. I use to have all original windows before some jerky decided to put his fist through my passenger side window. The decision was to just put bronze tint on the replacement window or replace both windows. I went with replacing both windows because the replacement window had that blue-ish safety mercedes style tint, so putting bronze tint behind that wouldn't look stock. Having the side windows clear (or blue-ish) while having the back hatch bronze was lame also. I pulled 2 crystal clear windows out of a 89 at a junkyard and had a buddy of my put bronze tint on it.

The closest you're going to get AND match the rear hatch is bronze 3M Film tint at 35%. It's really light but has a shade of dark to it. If you look at the color bronze you would think there's metallic in it to give it that bronze look but that's not the case. I have both side windows tinted and from the outside it looks like it was right out of the factory.

Don't go darker then 35%. Hope that helps.
