Anyone have MBC Install pics?

I don't have time to install mine (supposedly EASY I hear) but a friend offered to do it for free... all he asks is pics of how one was installled or a diagram of the area where the turbo is.

He's done MBC's before, but they were all on cars where the turbo sits right infront of the engine hehe...ours doesn't, so he's curious where all the tubing will go, if any extra supplies are needed, and a good place to mount it.

It's the TurboXS MBC by the way. I know there's pics there and the basics which we know... just doesn't show what he is hoping for.
http://www.turboxs.com/standard_boost_controller.htm

Any pics, or diagrams or descript info for him would be great as he doesn't own or know RX-7's well... just doesn't want to spend time looking for stuff if I can get you guys that do know it to help out ahead of time

Thanks!!!

Yes.....

Basically where's the wastegate located?

Also, is there any known probs if I bought a longer tube and ran it up so I can mount the mbc higher up incase I want to adjust it? Or does making the wastegate pressure hose that long cause problems?

is it a bleed or ball and spring type?

here is a pic of a ball and spring one. but the stock turbo inlet and air pump are gone. to reach the lines you will have to romove both.

the red is the wastegate line, and the blue is the turbo line. your controler probably came with instructions on which line goes where into it. if it's a bleed type the hookup is different, but those are the 2 points you want.

LoL I see it now....

So if it's the bleeder type (which I think it is), I simply cut the wastegate line and pop it into that right?

Again, is it ok to make the wastegate hose long? As I don't want to have to go diving back into the car everytime I need to adjust lvls

Thanks for the pic, it's really helpful!

if it's a bleeder type you will join the red and blue together and one controler line (a 3 some "T"). you probbaly need an "orfice" or a line restricter in one of the 3, can't remember which one. and the 2nd controler line is fit into the duct before the turbo where it bleeds the air too.

oh I missed that LOL.. that is ball and spring type. the better type hook up like mine. the shorter the lines the better.

just make sure you hook the lines to the right place. in that pic it shows the wastegate line hooking to the bottom of your MBC, where as mine hooks to the side of mine. so don't use my pic for that info use your instructions. use my pic for the 2 places to hook into the car.
