Anyone have a laptop mount in their FC?

i saw a couple that might work on the net. they are SO exspensive! i was just wondering if anyone has used a custom mount, and how much it would cost to make one my self.

i am going to run just a carputer with a double din lilliput screen. i mean if you are going to be using it also for tuning and dont want to lug a laptop around with you i think its the way to go.

Tuning on a touch screen/tablet is not fun. Ask me how I know.

Most tuning software relies heavily on keyboard shortcuts...

The commercial mounts are expensive because they need to be high quality so they don't rattle apart within a few years. All the joints must be tight and remain tight so the machine doesn't flop around. A few dollars in steel and a few hours will make a fixed mount but if you want to move the position of the machine the mount would need to be modified.

You could make an arm that bolts together but I almost guarantee it would loosen up.
