Okay, related question: if there is anyone with the Forza or Forza II seats, how is the headroom issue?? 'cause I can't even fit in my car without reclining slightly... (I'm only 6'1" but I have a sunroof...) Am I still gonna be able to fit in these, is there anyway to angle the whole seat back a few degrees? (stick a few washers in, etc...) any help would be appreciated...

I have Corbeau Targa RS (Adjustable) seats in my Probe. I want to swap them over into my FC. Corbeau told me that a lot of people have problems with adjustable seats. They sit you too high up they said.
Apparently if you make your own brakets you can get them to work fine.
The Corbeau brakets work, but they just put you too high up into the roof.

I had Corbeau Forzas in my base 2nd gen. I made my own seat rail adapters that incorporated angling the seats back to where I was most comfortable. The headroom was fine for me, fine for my 6' 4" friend who is normally proportioned, but my 6' 3" friend who is all torso hit his head even in my non-sunroof car.
The worst part about driving w/ these was that in order to look back out the side windows when changing lanes I had to press my head against the window glass to see past the shoulder boulsters.
They really provided more legroom though as the high front bolster forces your legs "up" to a higher angle- allowing the steering wheel to be more "in your lap."
Making your own mounting adapters is tricky as the driver's side seat mounts flat on the body, but the passenger's side is flat on the body on the outside and up on the shift tunnel on the inside. Consequently, you have to have different height adapters to get the seats at the same angle both side to side and recline wise...Ian

I've sat in FD's and FC's with non-adjustable seats. I honestly would NEVER buy non-adjustable. It's a pain to get in and out of and they are not comfortable at all. I'm sure you'd get used to them after time. But I think it's more work than it's work. TII seats are fine. Only reason I want to change mine is becaue i've got $850 worth of Corbeaus/brackets/harnesses already. Plus mine are the adjustable ones.

I want a seat that incorporates the mounting holes for a 5 point harness... I don't think I will mind the non-adjustability of them....too much
Blue TII: do you think it would be possible to just throw appropriate sized washers under the mounts (either between the seat and the mount, or the car and the mount) to angle it back? did your mounting adaptor slide?

i got a forza for my car, havent installed in yet. ive only sat in it twice. its comfy enough i guess, but i want to get rid of it. i want am adjustale sparco. ill sell it to you for cheap if you want it.

Before I bought my Targas I tested out MANY seats. There is a race shop down the street from where I work. I must have sat in a million seats. Trying out comfort and quality. I think Momo seats are garbage, they material is cheap/thin material, and way too expensive for what you get. Sparcos are spendy also. Cobras are cool, but kinda expensive. Just to name a few bigger brands.
I found the best bang for your buck with seats-quality, strength, durability, comfort, and looks is the Corbeau Targa RS. I love them, too me a few hours to get used to, but I absolutly love them.
Just my input on the subject, I did quite a bit of research before I decided on what I wanted to get. :thumbs-up:

It is harder to get in and out of the car until you get your technique down, but that is because they hold you in so well. The better the seat holds you the harder to get out of, I don't see a way around that...
When you install it you adjust it to the most comfortable position- it is when others drive that that it is not optimal. If its not comfortable then its not the right race seat- it should fit like a glove.

The Forza mounting points are narrower and shorter than the stock seat mounts. The adapters I made were 1/4" thick x 1"wide x ~2-3" long and bent at the correct angles to get the seat where I wanted. Make sure whatever you do is VERY stout and safe as a failure in an accident would be bad...
