i'm thinkin of gettin a welder to do my own exhaust and a couple more cars that we have. anyone ever use the flexible pipes that they sell at autoparts stores, as their straight pipe. would it be any different from a regular pipe. how bout adding a cherry bomb what would that do?

the flex pipe is weak it will last for a little while but not long
it will also be hard to weld on,you will have to use clamps
a cherry bomb? do you mean a glass pack?
if so the fins on the side will cause an increase in back pressure.
not much but a little you want a muffler to absourb sound
not catch it(fins) you can find manual pipe benders
at flea market type tool sales they are not very good but will
work good for exhaust pipe!

My TII CAME THIS WAY from the previous owner - machine made exaust, downpipe & high flow cat, and glasspacks.

They sound like crap (loud - but ricey - ugg).

Good performance though, but I haven't got the decelleration system to work right with this exhaust yet
