Anyone ever buy the Bomex kit ?!?

Here's the kit:

Front - 430.00

http://www.bomexaero.com/images1/fc/FC_FB_AD482-2.jpg

Side skirts - 350.00

http://www.bomexaero.com/images1/fc/FC_SS_AD483.jpg

Rear bumper - 430.00

http://www.bomexaero.com/images1/fc/FC_Rear.jpg

Total kit price (+ shipping) - 1150.00

I really want to smooth the moldings on my 88 SE off because the previous owner put screws through the passenger side molding to keep it on. With the Bomex kit, the front and rear bumper eliminate the moldings in the bumpers. All I have to figure out is how to put back in the marker lights in the side of the fenders when the molding is gone.

Anyone know if this kit fits good? I don't want it to fit half-*** and stupid looking. I like the smooth contours of the body kit. Makes the car look like something newer, but doesn't go too extreme.

Also, anyone know the best way to approach the "shaved" look w/ the moldings gone? I have seen pics floating around of a FC with the moldings gone and I really liked it.

Fiberglass is an easy option.

That was my best guess, but wasn't sure if there was any other way available. I know on some cars there are aftermarket molding kits available that you install, smooth over the seam and paint.

If there is such a thing for the RX-7, I would probably jump on it in order to keep the smooth, even appearance I am trying for.

Has anyone ever ordered from these guys?

Driver's Image Import Tuning

In Chicago, Illinois

I was hoping to contact them, being they are the closest thing to an accessories shop to me in Michigan. I can't find any shops in Michigan at all that deal with Bomex or anything like body kits for cars near me.

If you know of any good aero kit shops in Detroit, Lansing, or Grand Rapids. Hell, anywhere in the lower pennisula of MI, let me know where at and a phone number or email address.

I would love to pick the stuff up and not have to worry about shipping it any further than I have to. I won't pay for the kit if it arrives damaged to the dealer I am getting it from, but I will accept any screw up I commit.

You could try welding sheet metal over the indents, but you'll have to worry about it getting wavey.

I like it, except the fact the mouldings are gone. Id have to see a FC with shaved mouldings to see if I would consider the kit or not. My friend shaved the mouldnigns on his Civic, and I dont like the way it looks at all.

I thought my RX was sexy as it was.

But, hell, it a boob job, butt lift and tummy tuck can do that much of a wonder to it. So be it!

I am happy to hear the fit is good.

I got some prices and shipping together.

1150.00 for the whole kit.
+145.00 shipping (commercial, 200.00 residential)
-----------

1295.00 + tax (I think)

Looks like a good X-mas present for me.

I really like that Bomex kit. I have somebody that thinks he can hook me up with a deal on it. Like almost half off he says.

I saw it first unpainted, and I didn't think it was the greatest, but now that I see it painted, I want one BAD.

Gimpdiggity:

If you can hook me up with one of those kits as well at a great price, I will round up the cash asap.

I planned on putting it off until like end of December when I can pay full price, but hell. Half off or something is great.

Yeah I love the RE Amemiya front, looks great. But the rear of the bomex kit just looks so nice. God damn its nice
However it seems as you need the sideskirts, front, and rear to blend w/ the curves of that kit, I wanna see some pieces w/ that rear mixed and matched

I only want the sides and the back. Screw the front, I'll find a better looking one.

Group buy sounds great!

I will have to round the cash up two weeks earlier, shouldn't be too much of a problem

Let us know what they say!
