Mazdaspeed7 has mentioned carbon fiber stereo/shifter surrounds since december. In december when I asked he always said soon. I said I wanted one etc. In march, he said he was accepting orders and had the mold done. He gave me a million BS excuses, I wish I saved them. I sent him a Money Order on April 5th. He kept saying he was working on it. I got a ticket in both late april and late may so I knew I would lose my license a year (im under 18). I may have to sell my car, so I told him I needed my money back in May. He has yet to give me the cash back.

The only reason I am not mega pissed is that he said he is sending the money.

This is so rediculous considering how long he took. He also ignored some of my PMs/emails towards the end.

Good luck with getting your products/money back. He seems like a huge loser who never makes time to make what he promises he will

I have talked with MS7 several times before and dealt with him as well...I think he is a stand up guy and I do not believe he would intentionally cheat anyone.

As a parts seller myself, I can tell you guys that there is more to sales than simply recieving money and shipping an item. Keep in mind that said seller also has a life, and what theyre selling you is likely a side activity that has to be accomplished on such a basis. Many times there are transaction problems not the sellers fault, such as shipping delays, damages, or losses, lack of materials, or just plain personal things that take precedence over making/shipping what you bought.

Hell, sometimes the buyer doesnt help much either...Ive had my *** chewed out by buyers who keep getting their money orders returned by USPS...they copied the text "Rotary Resurrection, RX-7 Parts and repair, Morristown, TN" from my email signature and mistook that for an actual address and sent their payment there, then ask me why it gets returned? Still others send a payment with no return address or no markings of any kind to identify what the money is for. Then, about a month later, I get an *** chewing email asking for the missing part.

OH, and to the original poster, this post is a very shady way of getting a resolution to your problem. There are other less conspicuous ways to do so; its obvious you were trying to publicly defame him, apparently without consulting him in private first.

Kevin's reply is well thought out and portrays some of the problems that occur in any business.

Though I also sell a product, shift/ebrake boots, I don't have the volume that Kevin does selling parts. I do try to get back to people who have sent me money, especially since making the product can take time. That's key. The other is that if you are holding someone's money you have a responsibility to answer email promptly and and clearly, without profanity or other childish references. The other poster who has not received his CF part is entitled to some sort of refund or clarification if he hasn't received it. Communication is at the heart of the matter!

I don't agree that the original poster was trying to defame and this idea of not putting in the name of the vendor in the original title is childish. Its not defamation if the poster cites true instances of what is happening to the individual! Truth is a complete defense as the Supreme Court has stated many a time. I for one want to know the context of the post and the vendor who is defrauding or possibly defrauding others. I don't need someone editing what I need to know or wish to know for that matter.

That said, it is a good idea to try to resolve the matter privately first. I don't know Mazdaspeed7, never talked to him, but would think the courtesy of an email would have ben proper.

I also sent Adam money for the stereo surround months ago when he said he was making them. He has made more promises since then but nothing has happened. I would still like the parts.

Please don't give me the line about this being a side job for a busy guy. I also do my own composites work. I paid Adam because he had the mold finished and that's one less I would have to get my hands dirty making. I didn't take deposites on my headlights because I knew it might take a while for me to produce a sellable product. I think it would have been shady of me to take someone's money even though I knew I wouldn't be shipping orders for months. And yes, this is a side job for me too.

Adam, the stuff looks good, just make it and ship it already.

Not me...

Like I said in emails to Adam... I don't want it any more. The sole purpose was to get it on my car for a car show at the end of June. This was well understood. There were email correpondences, but I can't find them... and it wouldn't matter anyhow.

Until this incident, I've always thought he was a stand up guy as well.

I don't want the carbon fiber radiator panel. I already made my own out of polished metal. I needed something by the end of june. Carbon fiber would have been nice, but I don't want./need it any more.

Adam, you have a claims with the Post office, so please refund my money.

BTW, if any mod wants to change to title of this thread to something like "anyone having problems with..." that would be fine with me. It sure wasn't my intentions to break any forum rules... I'm not trying to be shady, as many of you have put it, either...

Im glad that *most* people here actually understand. I have a job, and a life, and not nearly enough free time.

E6KT2, your deposit was originally for the hatch cover. When you wanted the radio surround instead, I told you I wasnt sure how long it would be before I could finish it. Ill be starting the cf surrounds next week, I need to finish the new mold this week.

Not to change the subject but MS7 do you bag your setups? How many layers of CF are your consoles? I stopped adding mine as they are a bitch (for me) to make and I cant seem to get them consistantly perfect. Also waht do you use for a finish/clear coat? I am still learning but intend to make a side career out of it eventually.

My deposit was for the hatch cover. Did you make those? Last I looked, they were unavailable.

I switched because you said that you had a mold done for the S4 surround and I didn't think the hatch cover was what I was looking for.

As for the part about next week, I have to be skeptical. Is that for sure? If so I will post all over again, like I did the with the rad panel, that you are the greatest.

Good Luck, brother. Let me know when it's done and I'll send the last 50$.

3rd gen, right? Right now, I can turn out 2 a day. If I need to, from the amount of orders, I can increase that to as many as 8-10. But I expect to ship them within a week of the GB closing, but it depends on how many orders I recieve. Things have changed lately, and I have more time, and someone to help me. Besides, I need money, so Ill be selling as much as possible.

And for the stereo surrounds, Ill have 6 finished before I start selling ANY of them. One is for E6KT2, and theres free shipping on the other 5. Ill have pics next week.

Before you guys go thrash Adam, be aware that being a business person is hard work. Weither or not you get the stuff on time or not. There are alot of problems between mail service, UPS, time, money to mail the stuff off... things that happen in real life.. etc.

Before you go thrash on Adam, why don't you email him yourself, and talk to him on here? You don't know ANYTHING what's going on with him personally. He is only 18. He has a life, a job, school etc.

Let me ask you this... Go become a business man, and try to be perfect. Not everyone is, and will never be perfect. He is, afterall, only human.

I'm sure it's on it's way. Depending how he sent the package, is roughly how long it will be. With UPS, it does take a while... they could have screwed up something...

Again, don't assume and thrash someone on here without knowing the facts. i'm tired of people doing that to business folks. It's bullshit, and all right childish.

Nobody should really trash anyone unless well deserved!

That said, this is really childish. It doesn't matter how old, or young, or how much you have to do in your other life.

As a business, if you take money for a product, you are contractually obligated to send the product. Unless you incorporated conditions, such as I'm going to school and can't finish the product until X time, or my mom won't let me out in the garage after 10pm, you are obligated to produce the product. Period, end of story.

That's business. If you are having production problems, refund the money or contact the buyer to offer alternative arrangements. If so, be prepared to offer consideration since the buyer is giving you extra time.
That's how its done professionally.

Now if you want to talk about how you, he or she is not of age, has other interests, isn't responsible enough to follow through, can't respond by telephone or email, that's one thing, but make sure you embody that in your contract before you offer something for sale.

Otherwise, don't sell something until you have the product ready to go out. All the rest is an excuse.

Sorry if this seems harsh and I'm not aiming at the honest seller who can run into trouble, but communication is key. As is a professional business attitude. You're dealing with other people's hard earned money here, remember that!

That's all a seller needs to remember! ITS A CONTRACT, DAMNIT!!!!

Thanks. I'm glad someone understands why I started this thread... it wasn't to defame anyone, or to hear about how Adam should make his girl get naked on his car... (who the hell started that crap, and most of all WHY!) it was to see if I was the only one that wasn't having A+ service.

I agree with everything that you just said.

If you read, I believe he said "It's already been sent out"

Again, before you assume, why don't you find out the reasons? Go call UPS, and find out, before you bitch.

He never ripped anyone off. He sent you the radiator panel, I was there when he went to the post office, I saw him pay for the shipment. You can't blame Adam for something that he had no control over. Your trying to win an arguement that you can not win. And Scott, if you were going to sell your car you should have never asked for him to make it. He had already bought the CF materials to make your radio surround. He didn't have the $150 dollars. That money is sitting here in materials for what YOU wanted.

~Kristin
