Anyone Done an interior up lately

I own a 1987 gxl Rx-7, love the car, hate the interior! Basically my interior is a gross burgandy color and I want to change the color. My problem is that the interior has a leather wrap on it, which makes life hard when I consider my choices for re-doing the color.
Any suggestions?

Swap out the Interior with a S5 Interior. If you are as fortunate as I am, you should get It In Black In mint shape. Got It off a 90 Turbo II .Still regarded as the best mod on my ride. (sorry guys If I am over doing this line...but It's true)!

Their are some minor fitement Issues on this. Everything Is basically swapped out exactly except the Idiot dummy lights on the dashboard. The lense will have to be swapped for the Series V one. If I remember correctly, the 70 degree angle of the lense Is In the opposite direction of the dashboard. The series IV will not fit.

Finally, the light fixture and trunk cover rest, on the passenger trunk area, will have to be screwed In with self-tapping screws or epoxy. The trunk light could just be tapped In with the existing one you have.

Thats It! Took me a whole weekend to do. If I were to do It again, It would probably take me less than half that.

Also, I too had gross Blue. Blue everywhere. Blue cracked Leather Seats

I've found myself S5 black interior (complete minus seats) for $250. Not sure when I will actually get around to buying it though.

I know some guys at wrecking yards also though by the way. I don't know what that set-up is usually worth.

IM in the middle of doing this

Going from my 1986 GXL Grey leather interior---- 10th AE Black leather interior.

Im doing a TII swap right now harness, and everything, but i have the whole back and roof and pillers in so far which took about 2 hours total.

But the dash and carpet are gonna take longer.

there is alot of snap ins on the plastic, so be carful, i broke 3 already.
