Got backed into today by a mustang, need a fender, door and side mirror all on drivers side. Its all at his expense. My car was mint before this. 88 fc, 77819 miles. good everything... Please someone have some good body parts laying around. Im located in louisville ky. Willing to drive to keep my car looking good. Id perfer the parts to be red so i dont have to paint them. But its whatever works. If you have the parts ill give him the price and he will buy them. Please and thank you.

 

Shouldn't his insurance company be paying you? You go get a repair quote, then send that to his insurance company... or does he not have insurance? Also, this is a tech section, not a sale section. We have a section for buying/selling parts.

and you shouldn't do ANYTHING to the car until the adjuster has seen it and taken photos of the car to get a judgement made.

just because it seems obvious to you who was at fault, and even if the other person admits guilt, if their insurance feels they have a chance to win the case against you they will deny the claim regardless of anything you have been told. call your insurance as well and let them know your side of the story so they can be prepared.

some insurance companies will not even cut you a check anymore but have you send the car in to your shop and have it repaired while giving you a rental in the meantime, that is what we got when our mercedes was rearended. so if you spend money out of pocket now, you may wind up losing it later with spare parts to have to unload.

 

Make a claim. NEVER fall for the. Get what ya need and ill pay for it. Because Down the LINE when you need a new paint job or parts that he Thinks you dont need you will end up in COURT, and If you dont Make a Claim with his insurance Company He could just denie everything down the line and forget about it..
