Would anyone on here be able to spare some time to explain to me how to install power door locks with keyless entry on my 87 TII. I have searched and searched on the forum for any kind of tips or instructions but cant find anywhere. I have a kit that i bought and its 2 power door locks w/ keyless entry. Thanks a bunch guys.

well if you hit up a junkyard and look for a (this will sound weird) Probe or MX6 it will have almost the same electronic lock units as the rex... the wiring should all be run in the doors already (as it was in my 87 base) just hook up the appropriate power wires and wire in the keyless entry box like you would if you had a factory elec. lock system

 

well i managed to install the power lock units today
got the actuators installed and all the wiring right
but it seems when i press the unlock button it unlocks then immediately locks again, and the lock button on the remotre doesnt work at all..
any ideas?
