it would work... the downpipe i think is 2.5 inch in then flared to 3 inches for the remainder of the downpipe.

Get the exhaust shop to chop off the part that is flared. Then get them to find some 3 inch eblow of some sort and weld that onto the downpipe then weld in new flanges suitable for your aftermkaret turbo.
