Anybody know WTF this connector is?
I found it with that Jb Weld **** or whatever it is on there, i had a really low, erratic idle and now high-rev on startup. then i found that vacuum line off, and that fixed it some once i zip tied it (gotta love the hot pink ziptie), now it still has a sort of erratic idle, but its somewhat normal, i think that connector is leaking
what is that connector for with the vacuum line attached to it?
does anybody have the black part of the connector lying around they can send to me?

That's a vacuum solenoid, I believe the orange one is the fuel pressure regulator solenoid. It isn't a totally necessary part to have, and in fact if you just connect the 2 vacuum lines going to it with a metal union then it'll work just fine. Or, you can opt to get another solenoid and replace it. The solenoid is plastic and the nipples break off easily, thus the jb weld. An improper repair could result in either a blockage or a leak, either could cause poor idle and improper a/f ratios, so I'd do something about it when I could.
Used vacuum solenoids are a dime a dozen, as many people remove them and throw them away during emissions removal. I have a big *** bin full of them.
