If you get into an accident, do you trust your life to some "cheap" seats?
There has been an alarming trend of cheap aftermarket seats that do not have FIA/TUV certification flooding into the U.S. market recently. There have been accidents that lead to one-piece seats breaking in half or two-piece seats breaking the reclining mechanisms - both will leads to serious injury of even death.
I'd would rather get a MOMO, Sparco, Koenig (NOT the cheap U.S. rip off), Recaro, Bride or equivalent. None are cheap, but they have all been proven in competition and have certifications for FIA.

do i trust my life to the crappy, faded BLUE, non-supportive, non bolster-having stock NA seats? yes.
do i trust my life to a cheap imitation performance seat that atleast has decent bolster, side supports, and looks 10 times better than a blue stock NA seat that has 170k miles on it? yes.
I bought the exact seats, the price was right. after I bid I came on here to see what people said about them, I pretty much got 'you'll die if there not sparcos'. I still haven't mounted them (it's a bitch, you'll need a readilly accessible metal shop) but to be honest I was really surprised at how nice they were. Very comfy, can't tell if they will wear fast, but I got em, so I'll use em. should be in after winter (wisconsin is cold)
