any warning before a seal breaks?

do you get any warning or do they just decide to snap themselve in half?

from what i take they just self destruct
of course i imagine they could just wear over time and kinda slowly get worse
but worst case scenarios are detonation
and boom, your walkin home.

no, but im planning on getting a remanufactured engine dropped in, and want to know if i should do it now or wait till later

mine was driving fine then i revved to 6000 and let off the gas coasting to a red light then when i hit 2000 i pushed the clutch in and hit the brakes so the car died and would not start back up

No, there is usually no warning.
...at least not enough that you can react to.
