any suggestions for getting rid of exhaust leak?
I have an exhaust leak between my downpipe and midpipe and can't seem to get rid of it. I have a new gasket but the problem is the pipes aren't lined up exactly right I think. Would jb weld be useful in getting rid of the leak?

There is some muffler fix stuff that would probably work. It is better suited to the higher temps than JB weld. It also isnt as strong, so you will probably still be able to take apart the two sections if you ever needed to. You can get the stuff at most auto supply stores.

Welcome to my world! I have a leak I have not been able to get rid of between my downpipe and the main cat. I think the flanges are not parallel (that is...they are tilted slightly to each other). Let us know what you do.....that sound is annoying as hell!

PS. I bought tapered donut gaskets that fit inside the pipe. I have not installed these yet because the whole exhaust has to come off
