Any pix of custom interiors?
Any pix of custom interiors?
Just got the last of the replacement plastics for my interior. Just need the Wet Okole seat covers and my interior will be complete. Except for sound system. Everything is now black. I wanted to see what everyone else has done to their interiors—including stock. I'll post my pix tomorrow.

Im getting my Rx7 1987 GX tommorow. Its completely stock. But I have catback exhaust and racing beat mufflers and K&N air filter set up in my garage ready to be put on. I also have a sony deck with some new 2-way 6" speakers for the back. Oh and some MOMO mags with Z rated low pros. Yep Ive had a few rx7's Im only 17. Now heres the question. Ive never tinted windows before. In interested in doing the back window and the two sides. I know the sides should be relatively easy but anyone had any experience with the rear window? any tips or advice would be appreciated. I have about 50 bucks for the job so i need to find cheap tinting plastic and do it myself.

There was a post earlier on tinting windows, try a search. But in short, people have found it a lot easier and better to get it professioally done. This way you get a gaurentee and getting a perfect tinted window (no bubbles) by a beginner is probably impossible. And the back window is so big, chances are only a professional will be able to tackle it. also that now that they had done it themself, they definatly would have gone to a profesional regardless of price, to much work/time.
I got my windows tinted for $170 no tax, under the table (because of illegal tint) , definatly worth it , still in great condition.

wow, amazing, no signes of overlapping on the carbon, is it one piece?
also, that tailight is beautiful, the clear looking one, is that a black and white photo then cut and paste or is it for real?
if its for real, how did you do it?
thanx

The fake carbon is the vinyl that they make decals out of. I had a cracked frame around the radio, so I glued and put the vinyl over lay on it. It was cheeper then getting a new one right now. It is not perfect up close, but if you are about 2-3 feet away it looks real. I got the vinyl at one of the local rice shops. The stuff that I got was made by Avery. It was pretty easy to work with, the only thing that is hard, is trying to make some of the bends on the different peices. In the future I think that I might do the gauge surround and steering column cover (they are starting to crack too

I'm brining home the camera tonight and i'll get my pix up for you tonight also. I LIKE that CF look! I may consider doing that to the center console, stereo/logicon surround and instrument cluster.
The tail lights were photoshopped. The 3rd gen guys like to "dark tint" their tailights and I wanted to see how the 2nd gen's would look. Same with the clear lenses.
What do you think, dark or clear?
The "corner dash" gague holder is imported from Japan. Call aerodyne industries if your interested. They can import any of the gague pods, bodykits, cooling panels, performance accessories, etc...

The gague cluster was made by someone. They just replaced the OEM gagues with aftermarket ones. Personally, I like just replacing the OEM panels with colored ones (ie keep the OEM gagues).
