Any original owners here?

I bought my RX-7 brand new back in September 1989. Everytime I think about selling it, I take it for a drive and change my mind. It is showing it's age, but for it's age it is still in great shape.

Anyone else an original owner?

I am an original owner, but it is a first gen. 1980.
I love it. It has outlasted two wives, and always treated me better too.

I am! errr, well, sort of. I'm 17, but my dad bought a 5spd '91 vert brand new in (guess when) '91. I was introduced to the amazing rotary engine at 7 years of age. When I turned 15 and got my restricted license, I "inherited" (ie. took) the 7 and have driven/loved it ever since. So, it is original to the family. Oh yeah, it has 62000 miles on it. It had 30000 miles 2 years ago.

I bought my '87 sport and 88 GTU new.

The 88 GTU is down in San Diego in my Dad's garage, with only 55 k miles on it, but the 87 sport is MIA. I sold it a couple of years back, and the friend that bought it from me managed to blow it up within 3 months of owning it.

Yes, I bought mine new in 88 because my American POS torqued me off for the last time.

I am kind of the original owner of my 86 N/A. My dad bought it new and sold it to me in September with 125,000 on the original engine, repainted original maroon, but faded maroon interior. I think he gave me a fair deal on it, paid him $1500. For the last 10 years he has only driven it from June to Sept, garaged the rest of the time. He has taken extremely good care of it, I now drive it daily. Have learned loads from this forum. Get lots of compliments even tho its base model.
