Any methods of checking an air pump on a '91 coupe to see if it works right?

Any methods of checking an air pump on a '91 coupe to see if it works right?
In my book it gives me ways to check the actuators and solenoids, these are very simple methods and wasn't hard. The main reason I want to check my air pump is because it opens the auxiliary valves.

page f1-65 has a detailed procedure of checking the air pump.. download it.. available in the 2nd gen FAQ
