Ive been thinking about purchasing a harness for my swap but id rather rewire a few wires than spend the money. has anyone ever done this conversion? if so, do know which specific wires are different?

 

Yes, it was very simple. I can't remember the specific wires but they were for the 6 port and the VDI. Just look up the ecu pins in the FSM. They go to the same pins as the knock sensor and boost solenoid on the turbo engine. The FSM will tell you which is which. Just cut the old plugs off, and crimp the new ones on. I really don't understand why anyone would ever buy the TII harness when doing this swap... unless of course they didn't know about the two wires they had to switch. But people on RX-7club.com are so damn smart.
