Any ideas why????
ok heres the deal..i have an 87 turbo 2 with a jspec motor,3in rb turboback, hks supermega flow intake, hks fcd,re-wired walbro fuel pump..and today i went to go start my car and when it started it was spuddering alot, hard to get from 1000rpm-3000rpm...but after that its all perfect...when you get to like 3000rpm it starts back firing like a **** shppting a whole lot of flames( i mean ALOT ALOT)..i was holding the car at like 2000rpm for about 5 mins and it would not stay on by itself...also whenit was on black smoke was coming out of the exhaust...not sure if its a fuel problem or what but everyone that was around me when the car was on was saying that it smells like its burning a whole lot of fuel....I even took my plugs out and they were extremely black....what do you guys think???? thanks alot for the help.....

Recently I had the exact same thing happen to an '86 NA. Turned out to be a bad fuel pressure regulator.
In your case you should start with a thorough deflooding and compression test, then check the fuel pressure or just swap the regulator if you have another around.

1: do a compression test - this will tell you if your seals are all OK and not ready to shred you turbo on their way out the exhaust.
2: do the least expensive fixes first. my '88 T2 ran like crap till about 3500rpm when i first got it. I replaced the fuel filter and I sent out the fuel injectors to get them cleaned by http://www.witchhunter.com/ I got them back and the car ran ALOT better. (filter ~$35, cleaning all 4 injectors ~$50) from there check you FPR and if needed replace that.
3: good luck and keep us updated.
