the importer doesn't matter, if the engine is 25 years old and been through 20 typhoons, a hurricane or three and is possibly radioactive.

99% of the time, you won't get a year or two out of it, you'll be lucky to get a few minutes. Many cores do not even leave you with reusable rotors/irons. I'm sorry it's not the answer you're looking for, but as stated above don't hold your breath. It's the same crap everywhere.

Not trying to come to the aid of JDM junkyard engines, but my first Japan2LA engine lasted 2 years on 20psi of boost until it let go, because I ran 93 octane on the 110 octane map......oops. My second engine is going on three years, but with only about 3000 miles a year though. Japan2LA is the only one I would trust in this game, he can't guarantee the engine but he does everything he can to give you the dest testing core available. It's him or no one.

But since Japan2LA ran away with someone's money he has not been allowed to sell on here.
Mind you that he was a good Seller/dealer etc on the Forum, but **** just got out of hand and it did not get rectified. So he had to be escorted to Googleland.

I purchased purchased a 1jz and a 13b from jdmsource.ca. Both motors were in great condition upon inspection and they supplied videos of compression. Not sure if the motors are still going as the cars were sold years ago.
All in all, I'd just buy a turbo swap near you and rebuild.
