Any Advice On Buying A Stock 91 Rx7......help Please!!

sup guys i'm going to be straight up to you guys, i don't know nothing about rotary engines....... i am wondering what should i look for overall before buying it. What is the average life span of the engine? what are the pros and cons? any advice is greatly appriciated, thanks

welcome to the club check out the FAQ at the top of the main page ,but in general if it smokes at all stay away! if it takes longer than 10 sec to start stay away!if it putters or smells like gas stay away.

first of all you need to read up on it before you think about buying it. online encyclopedias are good. they will tell you everything you need to know about them, and make sure that the peson you are buying it from is not a jack off cuz if he didnt know anything about them chances are he didnt maintane it very well wich means it might not be up to par. but from my point of view they are the best cars/ engines there are as long as you take good loving care of them

There ya go - the rx-7 buying bible. If you are looking at a turbo, just go back a page (button at bottom) and go to the "how to buy a turbo" page. Everything in that tech section is a good read, btw. Especially the "new owner" section when you do get one.
