antenna replacement
OK i started cleaning out my fc the other day and i was like man i need to get rid of these bins they are so messed up! so i took them out and i found some stuff under there. i have had the car for almost a year and i never took them out. so finding a Fanta and a Diet Mt Dew and some other stuff under there, i found a brand new never used still sealed power antenna! mine never worked and i thought about replacing it so now is my chance! i took the old one off and put the new one in but the only problem is i am not sure what wires on the stock harness power the antenna. my new antenna has a yellow, green, and black wire. i know the black is a ground. what are the other two and where should i hook them up to the stock wiring? thanks guys

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Yellow would probably be 12 volts constant, while green would be going to the stock radio through a relay or to aftermarket radio's antenna output.
I would hook them up at the antenna, since the wires are already run.
But the colors may be reversed, as those are not normal standarized aftermarket antenna colors. Normally there should be a red and a green (ISO and Euro standard). Didn't the antenna come with a manual???

nope it was just the antenna complete. i mean unless the previous owner re-sealed the box and then hid it under the bin for me to find it is a brand new antenna. there where no papers or anything. the only manual it came with was on the box itself to tell me how to unscrew the cap
