Another tranny problem yay!

Hey all, wondering why this newly installed turbo tranny won't go into gear with the car on. I was able to get it into 5th but all other gears are no go. The tranny is in good shape from a good source, shifts fine with the car off. I'm suspecting 2 culprits the pressure plate, and the master cylinder but not to sure which one.

As for the master cylinder, I used an n/a version of the big bolt that screws the metal line into the master because I couldnt get the line off. It had a slightly bigger hole than the piece that came with the master. And it looks as though the hydraulics are functioning fine, when the clutch is pressed down it looks like the slave is fully extending. Im using a brand new master, slave, and throwout bearing.

I think I may have installed the longer pressure plate bolts in to the wrong spot or at least one of them. I'm hoping someone can confirm or dismiss these as possiblities for my tranny not going into gear before I start pulling this damn thing out again. Thanks.

P.s. Also if anyone knows where to find that metal line from I'm probably gonna replace that before I go and reinstall a pp. Can't find it online, I guess I'll check out mazda tommorow or something.

I am having a similar problem, when the car is off the car will shift fine, as soon as I turn the car on it will not go into gear, and when I try to get it to go into gear the car tries to cut off. Also the clutch pedal sticks to the floor. If you find anything out, PLEASE let me know.

sounds like your clutch is not fully disengauging. make sure you clutch disk is not in backwards.

It looks like I'll have to check, I replaced the gold bolt that went to the na master cylinder along with the metal line with turbo stuff. Than I tried to restart the car a couple times and all I felt was a click in the pedal everytime I turne the key, checked a few things and tried it again than I heard a loud clacking like 5 or 6 times and I felt it in the pedal to which I assume would be the starter beating the hell out of the flywheel . I guess I gotta pull the tranny again. I'm pretty sure the clutch disk is right, the side that stands out more faces the tranny right?
