another thermostat question?
ok my car keeps ****** boiling, but not overheating. i hear a little pissssssssssss from the reserior tank. but i touch the top hose and its hot as ****, i touch the bottom hose and i can hold my hand there for a while its not as hot as the top. so would that be my POS discount autoparts thermostat?

Hmmm, your discount autoparts thermostat probably doesnt help but the flow of coolant is not right for your scenario. When the thermostat opens the top hose will get hot, the coolant then flows through the rad down to the bottom tank and out the bottom hose back into the engine. Perhaps you have a problem with the rad being clogged or something? That is assuming the coolant flows the way I described.

the radiator and the water pump is brand new. i took off the resorvour tank and plugged the hole cause i was hearing psssssss from it so i think it was losing pressure from the tank so hopefully that works.

Get a brand new radiator cap and make sure that rubber hose b/t the filler neck above the thermostat and the overflow tank has no leaks. Don't plug the overflow tank. Fill the radiator up properly by using the bleed screw on the side of the radiator. Only put enough water in the overflow tank to reach the fill line which is about a quarter of the reservior.
You know how its supposed to work, right? Car warms up. WAter expands. Excess overflows into the overflow tank either when you drive or shut down after driving. After you shut down and the car cools off the water that overflowed retreats back into the radiator? Something like that.
I think you just have a weak worn down radiator cap and or the rubber hose b/t the filler neck and overflow tank is not intact. Could be something totally different. I doubt it.
