Another suspension "clunk" thread...but not when braking

I've searched and come across a lot of threads of this happening whilst braking.

My problem is a little different. Braking is fine. Whenever I take a left-hand turn, and hit bumps in mid-turn, I will hear a slight clunk from the front passenger-side wheel area.

I cannot feel anything, everything feels about the same. And it only happens if I hit bumps in the turn. If I'm going straight and hit bumps, nothing. And if I'm turning and the road is smooth, there's nothing.

I'm pretty sure the springs are stock (from 1986) and the struts are relatively new, but I don't know what kind (not oem replacements, but not performance, either). I'm thinking the ball joint would be to blame here, however, when I tried to move the wheel hub around (with the tire off, however) it didn't move at all, it felt quite solid.

umm you check the ball joint with the tire on the car.Is your battry tied down good? Correct me if I'm wrong but some cars you have to take the load off the lower control arm to check the ball joint. With the wheel on the car. place your hands on the tire at 12:00 and 6:00 try to wiggle the tire.next place your hands at 3:00 and 9:00 try to wiggle the tire.Up and down but no side to side,it's a ball joint, side to side and up and down it's a wheel bearing.I use to do the suspension and alignments on police cars. Some cops wanted there cars set up to have a right or left hand pull,They said it was so they had to drive the car.I say it's a waiste of good tires.I just said too much...
