Another question about startup

As previously mentioned in other notes, my car is not starting, hence it is flooded. When the suggestions state "Pull the EGI fuse, and crank engine" then try to start it, what does crank engine mean?

crank engine
means you turn the key to start position for 5-10 seconds (as if you wanted to start the car)
make sure you floor the accelerator pedal when you do that to allow for as much air as possible
