another problem with my FC...

Ok, so today I thought I take it for a drive, and when I tried starting it, it dosnt start, it just cranks, and it slowly gets weak and shuts off, with a bunch of clicks. It cranks, but it sounds really weak. What could be the problem? I cheaked the batery and it seems fine. Someone please help me out. And before this, everytime i try to start it, it sometimes clicks first, then like on my 3rd try, it starts fine. Don't know if this has anything to do with it.

so, its the starter? I would like to try the push start, but wouldnt i have to push start it again if i turn it off. same goes to the jumpercables. Or by doing these two, i can troubleshoot the problem more accurately somehow? Thanks.

Could be low voltage on battery, bad starter, or your power wire/ground on the starter is corroded. Mine used to do that "clicking" $hit. I changed the power wire and added a new ground wire to the starter and that solved it. (Check your battery first.)

I just check to see if anything loose, or if the wires are inplace. How do i really check the battery's? I dont have any special tools.

oh yea, this time when i tryed starting it, it dosnt even crank anymore, it just clicks, and shows my voltage drop. All my lights and radio turn on fine.

Take the starter off and take it to your local big chain auto parts store. Almost all of them have benches for testing starters. It sounds to me like you either have a bad starter solenoid or seized starter armiture.

I agree... I too think he has a dead battery and no clue on how to test one.

A voltmeter won't help. you need a load tester.

Take your battery over when you take your starter in.. My guess is the battery is dying, and never fully recharging, even after you get it running. If your starter spins at all, its rarely the starter.

Boost it if it starts your battery is toast (or needs a charge)... I run into dead batteries ALL THE TIME! If your batterie is fairly new and is dead i recomend testing your alternator because it is obviously not charging properly. try boosting before you take out your starter

we'll i took my battery to autozone today, and they charged it, and said it was still good. So, i thought i try starting it again with the battery charged, it dosnt do anything but click, and most of my lights turn off when it clicks. So its the starter? It looks like its gonna be a bitch to take that out. By the way, my car's an N/A.

Useful advice: Now that you have your car started... take it back to Autozone and have them check your alternator. Maybe the battery was really old (?), or maybe you're not getting a good charge from your alternator. They'll do it for free.
