Another Please help my rebuid thread

so i finally got her going again today and im still having issues. first it is very hard to start, very. she will sit and crank and crank and might come to life, or it will sit and crank and fire on a face here and there but never start. ideas? second she decided to start and ran great, but i had alot of smoke from three places. first is out the exhaust , i thought duh, second is right around the turbo. very specifically under the turbo and above the manifold. i have switched from a s4 to a s5 turbo and the smoke still persists. last is out of the oil fill tube. with the cap on smoke comes out the nipple right next to it. its thick like fog,any ideas and help is greatly appreciated thank you

when she ran is the smoke blue or white?
it's normal for the turbo and manifold to smoke a little bit, it's usually from greasy hands touching it then burning off this shouldn't last any longer then first warm up.
as for the fog coming out of the oil filler neck, i've never really heard of that before. if you plug the nipple and all the other non-stock oil case vents will it push the dip stick out? if so your oil control rings were improperly installed or haven't seated yet. this might also cause the hard start if the leak is bad enough to foul the plugs.

i did myself. it has viton soft seals, new hard seals and springs, and a fd bypass regulator. the smoke was blue but i had poured premix straight down the runners. i got her to warm up and cycle through the fan once before i shut her off and some blue smoke was coming out the exhaust. the engine has gone through about 6 gallons worth of gas almost all idle time. the smoke from the filler started on todays run. the rest of the smoke has always been there.....its not alot of smoke but noticable. if it helps smoke comes out the exhaust under cranking as well

was this your first rebuild? what did you use as a guide? i'm betting some part of the oil-control rings were installed improperly.
