Another option when converting to a turbo drivetrain

I'm posting this because when searching I found many many threads about converting from an NA to a TII Drivetrain.

What has been really hard to find at a resonable price is a TII rear end. The trans is easy to find from the various importors, got one from CNS motors in LA for 150.

The other option which many of you know about is using the mazdatrix driveshaft which links the TII transmission to the NA Rear end. My quam with this was that if I ever do find a TII rear then I will need to get another driveshaft.

So I called mazdatrix, as it turns out you can get the TII rear pinion flange, and an extra U joint for 46. So if you buy the conversion shaft and use it on your NA drivetrain, you can swap over to the TII flange and use it when you do get a TII rear end without having to find another driveshaft.

Just thougt I'd share this....

I have also purchased from CNS motors. I bough my miatabox from them for 125 and it was in excellent condition. But, they make no distinction between the 1600 and 1800 miataboxes...but I digress. They are a pretty good source for used parts.

if they give you the right one. you gotta double check those guys a lot of the time, but their prices can't be argued with, and the stuff they sell is usually very clean.
