I just got some 16X8 with 42 offset (I think?) and RETed says that I need 10mm spacers for the front so it could fit. I was wondering if you guys can point me into the right direction in finding this kind of spacer?

Thanx,
Voeun

7/16" = 11.1mm, which is more than enough.
Watch out with the lug nut threads, as this is approaching 1/2" and easily over 1/4", which I consider is the safest widest spacer you can use on the stock wheel studs.

If you know someone with a bunch of largish Craftsman 12-point sockets, find the size with the tightest fit and bang it on with a hammer.  Use ratchet or breaker bar to remove.  If the socket breaks, go down to Sears and get a new replacement.

Why do you want to use spacers, when in fact those wheels come in the offsets you want. Check out this site
http://www.wholehyper.com/wheels/wheels-ssr-sp1.html which if I am not mistaken offers the offsets that will work. I really like those wheels and I will get them around summer if everything is okay.
Can someone photoshop this wheel on a black S5 TII? The black one and the silver one. I am wondering how it will look on my black TII.

So what wheels can I fit the most comfortably front and rear on the car...? On that site that RHDturboII posted, it offers quite a bit of sizes and offsets for the wheel.

I was planning on doing 17x8's up front and 17x9's in the back...

The 17x8's come in a +30, +35, +40, and +45 offsets.
The 17x9's come in a +21, +28, +35, and +40 offsets.

You want +30 in the front. For the rear, +21, +28, +35 will all work, but +35 would be my choice because the wheels will sit more flush with the fenders as opposed to sticking out and possible rubbing.

When I will get mine I will go with a 17x8 +30mm 225x45x17 for the fronts and 17x9 +21mm with 255x40x17 for the rear if that helps. Right now I have 17x7.5 +40mm TSW concepts IIs with 215/45 on the front and 235/45 on the rear. I will sell those rims in the near future because I want to go with 17x8 and 17x9 instead. I have Tein HAs with pillow mounts on my car. I really would like to see those wheels photoshoped in a black TII if someone can do it. I will propably get the silver ones because I like how the silver wheel looks on a black car. But if the black one looks good I will probably go with that one too.

So with this setup, you won't need new studs or spacers or anything like that...?

No, you won't need spacers with those offsets.

Chixtala,
I would like to explain to you how I came with those offsets. It involves a few simple math and it will make it easier for you to understand.

Lets take the stock 7" rim with +40mm offset. In order to see how far the rim goes inside you do the following:

7"x25.4=177.8mm then 117.8/2=88.9mm which is the middle of the rim. Then you add +40mm(which is the offset) and for the stock rims you have 128.9mm. inside.

Now for 8 " +30mm
8*25.4=203.2/2=101.6+30mm = 131.6mm

for 9" +21mm
9*25.4=228.6/2=114.3+21mm = 135.3mm

Now I have a 7.5" +40mm on my car and I think the fronts are almost perfect (needs just a little out) but the back needs to go out 1-1.5 inches to be perfect.

So 7.5*25.4=190.5/2=92.25+40mm= 135.25mm which is the same with the 9" +21mm. So I will gain the 1-1.5 inches out I want for the back.

I hope I solved all your questions about the offsets.

Okay, yeah. That makes a lot of sense. I think I pretty much understand it now.
