Another Low Compression Thread....
More or less looking for confidence that this engine may get better #'s
I'm looking at buying an 87 TII and tested the compression today. I got approximately 75 psi cold dead start and 70 psi after it was warmed up.
Now this TII has been sitting for the last few years, and its been started up on and off in between then. I'm a little confused as, 80 - 110 psi is a good motor.
My question is, even though it has been sitting for so long, after the fuel rail is primed it takes 2-3 engine rotations to start hot or cold. How can this be and if this car is driven/run might these compression numbers get better?
Keep in mind the OMP is gone and its running premix.
Any info would help. Thanks guys
