Another idle problem.

I have an 87 TII. So I reinstalled the air pump line between the block and the cat. so I could go smog the car. Well, once i was done it wouldn't hold idle once it warmed up. I tried adjusting with the bac. I searched and came up with no similar threads. I read threw a few of the threads that came up, and tried a few thing. Anyone have an idea. I'm gonna go unhook the air lines right now and see if I can adjust it to idle.

hey ben we found the problem with the idle, its the AWS solenoid valve. its just bad. we tested it with an ohm-meter and its out of spec. it read 18ohms and is only suppose to read 10.7-12.3. thats why it will even idle at all sometimes. a new piece is about 600$ from kragen, but we're going to the Mazda salvage yard tomorrow to see if we can get a better price on a used one. they're over a grand at Mazda =/

maybe its fixable (the aws itself), who knows.
