another ******* problem, idle adjustment?

i have this nagging idle problem, when i did my 720 injectors we found 2 nipples by the throttle plates with no hoses or plugs(one had a ripped plug) so i put a "U" hose and plugged them. well my car seemed to idle perfect after that! no if's ands or buts! everything was great. so good that we had to turn down the idle because upon fixing the vaccuum leak the idle went. up.

well now i my idle will hold for a little and then drop and stutter the car really bad, i ran through all the obvious lines and i didn't find anything wrong with my system.

so i was wondering if u guys have to readjust ur idle when it gets cold outside? or what should i do, its really bugging me.

i don't think a "u" hose is such a good idea... not sure what that can do, but i think it's better to close those two nipples separately...
