Another engine throws a seal
Lets add another 89+ TurboII to the list of front rotors which bite the dust.
I was cruising with about a gallon and a half of gas in the car about 500ft from the gas station. Car had been warm for about 15 minutes. I stepped on the gas in 2nd gear, probably hitting around .6-.7 bar. Hardly any more than 60% throttle. At around 5500rpm, it sounded like an IC hose blew off, the engine stumbled, and sounded like it was running on 1 rotor.
Got gas, started car, it wouldnt hold an idle. When i got to auto tech class, i pulled out the rear leading plug, and heard three even pulses. Then pulled the front leading plug, and heard..yup...a galloping horse sound.
If anyone in the Northern VA area has any experience with engine pulling/rebuilding, im trying to get this done with the smallest amount of $$ possible..and will pay for free beer as long as your workin on the car. Kevin, i might be sendin the Irons your way for some porting.
edit: i want to give it a shot rebuilding myself..but someone who is more experienced to help me out with it would be appreciated. Im gonna invest in the atkins video

With that much gas, should have feathered it to the station. Mazda isn't to great with their gas tank baffles.
I heard the video is a great helper. Get as many people as you can to help you out.
