Another Defrost problem

Hey all, first off, I have searched and read dozens of articles on here trying to test my mode control motor, so I'm not lazy, just inept. My question is: how do i get to the G-04 connector to make the motors go into defrost mode (can't pass inspection without defrost ) ? I read that this is not found coming out the back of the logicon. I see there is a connector with 12 wires in the middle and one with 5 wires on the right. Are the wires in question contained in the bunch that go into the logicon wrapped in that rubber (no plastic connector)? I also read that the green and blu/yel wires that I'm looking for can be accessed just above the accel pedal. I looked at it (albeit in the dark) and saw two connectors, a small one and a larger one. Is the larger on the G-04 that I'm looking for?

As I said before, I already read a ton of these posts and the FSM, but I already fried the speed control on the fan in my repair efforts, so I want to get some advice before proceeding, THANKS!

The mode motor plug is above the gas pedal, and below the defrost dash panel.

It is found at the end of the harness leaving the Logicon. It does not plug into the back of the logicon, but rather into the plug at the end of the logicons external harness.

Below the defrost dash panel? So I need to take the dash off to get at it, right? It's not one of the plugs that is directly viewable above the gas pedal? It seems like the logicon's internal harness is going down toward the gas pedal area. Just want to be sure.

I personally pull the gauge cluster to get to the plug, but yes, you can pull the metal front panel of the dash to get too it.

I just yanked the logicon and cut away the rubber covering and chopped into the two wires there and applied the 12v and ground. The motor switched, so I think i can pass inspection now! Thanks for the help!
